Self Catering Holiday Cottages
Castleton, Derbyshire
Spring House Farm, in the heart of the Peak District,
nestles on the slopes of Lose Hill in the Hope Valley. A tranquil and
secluded Grade II listed Georgian property, the house and two charming
stone built holiday cottages are set in ten acres of grazing.
Spring House Farm is a 15 minute walk along lanes and
tracks to the picturesque village of Castleton, home to Peveril Castle
and the spectacular Peak, Speedwell, Treak and Blue John caverns.
There is direct access from the doorstep over the fields
and lanes to the villages of Hope and Castleton or onto Lose Hill ridge
from where you can take the spectacular walk to Mam Tor or drop down
into the Edale valley.
The two luxurious self catering cottages are ideally
located for those interested in a walking, climbing or cycling holiday
and provide an ideal base from which to explore the Peak District
whether for a week or a short break.
There is plenty of storage space for bikes and climbing
equipment plus ample parking space. In short, it is the perfect base
for walkers, climbers, ramblers or those who simply want to relax and
sees the Peak District. Spring House Farm is approximately 30
minutes from both Chatsworth and Haddon Hall.
The self catering holiday cottages are set in a listed
working stable courtyard. Each cottage is fully equipped, has Wi-Fi
access and its own private garden or terrace area. Both cottages have
super views, Harry Eyre Cottage looks to Mam Tor - the Peak District's
famous 'shivering mountain’ and Shippon Cottage faces Lose
Hill. The cottages cater for short breaks as well as longer
stays.

a ‘shippon (or diary), retains many unique architectural
features and is sprinkled with pieces of antique furniture. It sleeps
two
adults plus there is a sofa bed (and cot) for children and infants.
The cottage has its own terrace garden. Small, well behaved and
friendly dogs are welcome in Shippon Cottage
.
Recently refurbished, Harry Eyre Cottage is now a
luxurious but
still characterful farm cottage with lots of original details and
fabulous views of Mam Tor. It sleeps four people in one double and one
twin bedroom. The cottage has its own private and enclosed garden. Well
behaved and friendly dogs are welcome also in Harry Eyre Cottage.
Spring House is no longer a working farm but home to a
number of horses and ponies.
